Put on something nice, for God’s sake.
Feel strong in your skin.
Ask yourself, how many gods
dare judge you blindly
and call you beautiful?
How many gods
dare ransom you
from the heavy chains
you wore as a necklace?
Remember: Riches cannot redeem
a soul sold for nothing
but every heart
that sings for salvation
will soon hear the footsteps
of beautiful feet
bearing good news.
